24"x48", Acrylic on Canvas (2016)
This was a fun little piece painted live at the CHAMPS Trade show in Las Vegas at the OCB booth, March of 2017. The idea was to create a simple painting that I could finish live in 6 hours—this is what came to be. The octopus controlling the woman, and with the negative space between his tentacle and the seaweed, her body is formed. If you look close the octopus is mechanical as designated by the gears. So one controls the other who controls the other and on and on...but is the woman REALLY there? Who knows. Who cares. Just a rad piece.
