Tuskegee Airmen Pinup Girl
36"x48", Acrylic on Canvas (2013)
Not only were the Tuskegee Airmen some of the greatest pilots in WWII, their accomplishments in the air were at the forefront of fighting racial inequality in the military. The common perception was that African Americans were not fit for combat, and were deemed lazy and not as smart as their white counterparts. Well these boys proved them all wrong! Their Nazi ass kicking record was impeccable and the proved themselves to be equal, if not superior, pilots.
